YACHT

Central Yacht is unique in the world when it comes to the world of superyachts. Founded in Hong Kong in 2006 by Paul Brackley, a highly experienced superyacht captain, Central Yacht was created to provide the perfect partnership service for anyone buying, selling or chartering a superyacht.

With a formidable presence in the region, Central Yacht has mentored several Asian owners through the superyacht design and build process including four superyachts with an average length of 60m. Their team of experts offers the independent and detailed technical knowledge required to either select and buy an existing yacht or take a new design from the drawing board to the sea. Central Yachts’ combined knowledge and expertise are truly unique within the industry.

Owning a private superyacht is a growing trend in Asia, and Central Yacht is perfectly positioned to assist these new owners. The team’s expertise, however, is not restricted to the Asian market; they have strong connections with the superyacht industry in Italy and northern Europe and are fully at home in the global superyacht market through their extensive sailing in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the Pacific.

Experienced in both power and sail, Central Yacht is one of the very few companies who can offer a broad range of expertise and practical knowledge, delivered with an entirely personalised approach, to ensure that your voyage in the superyacht world is a positive and enjoyable one.

Notable Superyacht Partnerships with Central Yachts

Lady Candy(55M)

Built in Italy in 2015, this 55m superyacht was built for a Hong Kong entrepreneur and real estate developer. The design was based on a tried and tested platform, but Central Yacht thoroughly revised the interior layouts and exterior styling to create what appears a custom project. Based on his 20 years of experience at sea, Capt Brackley implemented a number of modifications that improved both the yacht’s form and function. The yacht was a finalist in all three major categories at Showboats Design Award, The Superyacht Awards and was the winner of Asia Pacific Boating best Custom Yacht award.

Ambrosia III(65M)

One of the most technically advanced yachts ever built and the first to be ordered with ABB compact Azipod. The largest superyacht in Hong Kong, Ambrosia III is the fourth superyacht to be built by the owner, Ambrous Young. Central Yacht provided technical and conceptual analysis and hydrodynamics and engineering research for the yacht as well as project supervision. Capt Paul Brackley has subsequently been closely involved with operation and management since the launch.

Xanadu(60M)

Central Yachts project-managed the build of Sir Thomas Stanley’s 60 metre Xanadu. Conceived as the ultimate charter yacht, the team at Central Yacht were responsible for internal and external elements of design, operational setup, crew selection and training and considerable marketing activities. The yacht won the prestigious Robb Report “Best of the Best” Charter Yacht award in 2009 while being operated by Capt. Brackley

Genesis II(56M)

was custom-built in Italy and delivered to her Asian owner in 2015. This luxury vessel’s sophisticated exterior design and engineering closely followed the original design of Lady Candy by Central Yacht. Now also based in Asia Central Yacht continues its involvement with the yacht with compliance and management activities.
